Welcome to Jute For Life

Jute Artisans Guild Association is a voluntary non-profit organization encouraging the rural poor women of Barabanki and Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh (India) to fabricate Jute Products as their source of livelihood. It is supported by National Jute Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (www.jute.com) under Jute Technology Mission IV and Ministry of MSME and Khadi & Village Industries Commission as Nodal Agency through SFURTI scheme.

We are from the family of Jute Artisans Guild Association of Uttar Pradesh trained by experts of National Jute Board (Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India) under Jute Technology Mission.

  • ENHANCING HEALTH - We ensure working on issues related to health and wellness with a broader perspective on determinants of health to empower women.
  • CAPACITY BUILDING - We train artisans in product development, design, quality control, business administration and leadership to ensure sustainability for women.
  • OVERCOME HARDSHIP - We ensure to demolish stereotypes and support women to equip them with skills that break patriarchial order and overcome Hardship.

Activities & Overviews

On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary CEE Kolkata under Urja Chetana project oraganised a Plastic litter clean-up and recycling event named “Recyclathon” in Bagbazar Annapurna Ghat and Barrackpore Mangal Pandey Ghat. The objective of the programme was to create awareness on disposal of single use plastics amongst vendors and common man around these places
