Jute Artisans Guild Association is a voluntary non-profit organization encouraging the rural poor women of Barabanki and Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh (India) to fabricate Jute Products as their source of livelihood. It is supported by National Jute Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (www.jute.com) under Jute Technology Mission IV and Ministry of MSME and Khadi & Village Industries Commission as Nodal Agency through SFURTI scheme.
Lucknow Multi Products Cluster has been developed under SFURTI scheme to benefit 740+ women jute artisans. NMIMS Mumbai has been mentoring us as our technical agency for this purpose.
Till now more than 5000 women have been trained for jute bag-making and 900+ women jute artisans are actively associated with the federation, involved in the manufacturing of diversified jute products for seminars, conferences or any event and even packaging for industrial purposes. We take pride in the fact that our clients are spread all over the country. The federation also has its own import-export code, enabling it to export as well, without any hassle.
We are using natural and recyclable, a golden fiber of jute to make a variety of designs from jute fabric for official and industrial purposes. Our artisans participate in fairs and industrial exhibitions gaining rich insights of market trends and product designs being preferred by various segments of customers. The demand for eco-friendly utility products is increasing day by day due to plastic hazards.
